We are now looking for a culture and leisure manager who wants to take a strategic and value-driven responsibility for the municipality's culture and leisure activities – with a particular focus on children and youth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

About the assignment

As the culture and leisure manager, you have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and coordinating the municipality's culture and leisure activities in line with Burlöv municipality's culture and leisure strategy. The strategy focuses on accessibility and inclusion, participation and co-creation, as well as breadth and excellence.

Your task includes leading through trust, where you create clear frameworks, common direction, and good conditions for employees and managers to take responsibility and fully utilize their competencies. You steer through goals, dialogue, and follow-up rather than detailed management, and you have trust in the profession in the implementation.

You work to ensure that culture and leisure are not only offered but are present where the residents are through presence, dialogue, and collaboration. You drive the development of a culture and leisure life where the participation and ideas of the residents form the basis for the offerings, especially concerning children and youth. You are also responsible for developing a varied supply that combines breadth with space for new, narrower, and innovative cultural expressions and sports.

Leadership, collaboration, and responsibility

Culture and leisure are important tools for health, community, and social cohesion. Your assignment includes strengthening meeting places that contribute to a sustainable and inclusive society.

You lead a management group with four unit managers for swimming, facilities, libraries, culture in Burlöv, and the culture school as well as youth activities. Together, you work based on trust, structured and long-term, where responsibility is distributed close to the operations and decisions are made with a holistic perspective and professional integrity.

You are part of the management group of the Education and Culture Administration and actively contribute to the municipality's development through collaboration, coordination, and shared responsibility.

As the culture and leisure manager, you are a clear representative of the municipality's value foundation and a trust-based leadership. You:

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Many years of experience in developing and strategic leadership
• Experience leading a management group and driving change work
• Good experience working in a politically governed organization
• Solid experience in culture and leisure issues
• Relevant university or college education and adequate experience for the assignment

You have an easy time communicating with different target groups and work structured and methodically to achieve high quality and set goals with trust in both people and assignments.
